Grow a Garden 2 Unreleased Crops Watchlist

Some crop pages exist before normal players can obtain the crop. This guide separates useful watchlist data from claims you should not act on yet.

The Short Answer

Briar Rose, Pinetree, and Buttercup have current wiki records, but the important shared detail is that they are not obtainable through standard gameplay right now. Treat them as future-content watchlist entries, not as crops you can reliably buy, hatch, unlock, or farm today.

That distinction matters. A crop can have a page, images, price-like fields, or test data before it has a real player-facing obtainment method.

Current Watchlist

CropRarityHarvest typeCurrent status
Briar RoseMythicMulti-harvestListed as unreleased and not obtainable through standard gameplay.
PinetreeUnknownMulti-harvestListed as unreleased, using Apple-like model data, and not obtainable normally.
ButtercupUnknownSingle-harvestListed as unreleased with unknown appearance and no normal obtainment path.

How to Read Unreleased Crop Data

  1. Look for the obtainable flag first. If the page says no, stop treating it as a farming target.
  2. Separate test/admin-rights information from normal player progression.
  3. Do not add the crop to your money plan until it appears in a normal shop, reward, event, or code path.
  4. Use confirmed crops in the crop database for current calculators and route planning.

Why Not Add These to the Main Crop Table Yet

The main crop table is most useful when players can act on it. Adding unobtainable test-only crops next to farmable crops can make the database look fresher while making it less useful. For now, a watchlist guide is the safer surface.

If one of these crops becomes obtainable later, the next update should add the confirmed obtainment method, price, value fields, image asset, and updated source date together.

Claims to Ignore Until Verified

  • Any claim that Briar Rose, Pinetree, or Buttercup can be bought normally without a current in-game shop or event proof.
  • Any claimed drop rate that is not tied to a current obtainable source.
  • Old screenshots that do not show the current date, item name, and obtainment method.
