Gold and Rainbow Seeds Guide

Gold and Rainbow Seeds are moon-event pickups that can be planted directly. Treat the event as a short preparation window, then protect the crop you create.

The Short Answer

Gold and Rainbow Seeds are not normal Seed Shop purchases. They can appear during their matching moon events and can be planted directly to create a random crop with a stronger path toward the matching mutation.

The best response is simple: collect the seed, make inventory room, and plant it only when you can protect the resulting crop.

Do not confuse these event seeds with a generic Seed Pack. They are already plantable and do not need another opening step.

A Safe Event Routine

  1. Keep a little inventory space free before night begins.
  2. Watch the current moon state and collect event seeds promptly.
  3. Move back to a safe planting plan instead of staying exposed in a busy server.
  4. Plant the seed when you can monitor the crop through its first harvest.
  5. Check the result before selling or leaving it exposed during another night cycle.

The weather events guide explains the wider event rhythm, and the mutation guide covers how valuable mutation targets fit a full garden.

Choose Crops You Can Actually Protect

A special seed does not remove normal risk. Use it in a garden layout you can watch, especially if public-server nights make theft likely. Keeping your normal crop route active is safer than rebuilding your entire plot around one event pickup.

For crop comparisons, open the crop database. For nighttime planning, use the garden protection guide.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Ignoring inventory space until an event seed appears.
  • Trying to open an event seed like a Seed Pack.
  • Planting it immediately in an unsafe, unattended plot.
  • Assuming a matching mutation is a guaranteed sale value without checking the live result.
  • Using moon-event screenshots as proof of a current server state.
