Eclipse Weather and Eclipsed Are Different
Eclipse is the weather event. Eclipsed is the environmental mutation it can apply to random crops. Eclipse Bloom is a separate Secret crop made through a plant merge, so the three names should not be used interchangeably.
Current Grow a Garden 2 mutation records list Eclipsed at an 80x value multiplier. A mutation is still only useful when it lands on a crop worth protecting and selling carefully.
How to Recognize the Event
During Eclipse Weather, the daytime sky darkens toward violet-blue and beams of light strike the ground. Current sources disagree on the exact duration and activation chance, so this guide does not present either number as settled.
Use the live sky and mutation label as the decision signal, then compare it with the records on the Weather page and Mutations page.
Prepare Before the Sky Changes
- Keep your better crops planted instead of leaving valuable plots empty.
- Harvest or separate crops carrying a mutation you do not want replaced.
- Watch the crop label rather than assuming every plant received Eclipsed.
- Protect any high-value result before the next night-stealing window.
- Calculate from the crop you actually received, not from an idealized screenshot.
The broader weather and mutation timing guide explains how to keep a ready garden without waiting on one rare event.
Do Not Confuse It With Eclipse Bloom
The Eclipse Bloom guide covers the Sun Bloom and Moon Bloom merge. Owning that crop is not the same thing as triggering Eclipse Weather, and seeing Eclipse Weather does not automatically create an Eclipse Bloom.
